About the Founder

Many claim to be “the first” to market and sell a curbing machine. Bob Parrish, a Veteran, founded Decorative Curbmaking Machines, patented the design, and started selling the Model 207 in 1982. He was one of the first individuals who actually started the curbing industry in the US, which has provided the opportunity for so many to own and operate a profitable business.


There is a saying that “pioneers take a lot of arrows” and that was certainly the case as his design was radical using heavy steel and hydraulics to create both a machine and a curbing product that can last 15 to 20 years. The design of the Model 207 incorporates Bob’s 20+ years of hands-on understanding of concrete.
